How Fallen Blue Grants Work

Fallen Blue makes grants on a national basis and to any fallen officer’s immediate family, whether state, city, county, or local law enforcement.

All grants are subject to available funding. Unlike other charities, Fallen Blue does not utilize a specific grant cycle. We review grant applications as received. Upon receiving a grant application, a Fallen Blue Representative will contact you within two weeks to discuss the application.

Immediate Family Members include:

  • Parent
  • Spouse (including former)
  • Domestic Partner
  • Children

Grants are need-based and made for necessities, including but not limited to:

  • Mortgage Payments
  • Housing or Apartment Rental Payments
  • Car Payments
  • Medical Payments
  • Therapy
  • Educational Costs

Grant eligibility requires the death to be classified as a line-of-duty death by the officer's department.
